Walking in the summertime

Well here it is summertime, and instead of parties and fun, we are going for walks as our main source of entertainment. Where we walk, near Michaels house, is a shady country road, travelled primarily by Subarus, and the occasional walker or biker from the neighborhood.

We are better at the hills now than we were in the beginning, but the views don’t get dull, and now that the cougar was spotted in the area, we can always spice things up a bit by wondering aloud if it’s stalking us.

I am glad that we live in a beautiful place, especially now. While my house offers a shortish walk to a big beach, the beach tends to be busy, and the traffic on my road is awful - the shoulder of the road is thin and cars regularly drive on it coming around the blind corner, so it’s a bit of a gamble getting down to the water safely. Michael also lives close enough to the water to walk, but the hill!!! It’s horrible! We hate it! And that beach is even busier than the one by my house half of the time. So for this pandemic, we are staying inland.
