Blood! Or cherries…ok it’s cherries. But I love the drama of cherry season.
I make a great cherry-spinach salad, and it tastes better than this gory photo might suggest. If you want to get your hands dirty, try it out!
Cherry Spinach Salad
Cherries - cut them into quarters with a small knife, and remove from the pit.
Spinach - wash and tear or cut into nice size pieces
Fresh baby onion - or green onion - slice very thin
add basil or mint or any fresh aromatic herb
dress with a simple vinaigrette - extra points if you have cherry juice to add
It’s simple, and perfect.
