Days upon days
Today is another day shooting houses…the real estate market is finally moving, and the houses are here! It’s fun, and a bit exhausting on days like today when I had two houses, plus editing…twelve hour days without a break are for the young. The old young, these kids today won’t touch a twelve hour day with or without breaks, and they’re probably right.
I like the houses, and working on my own, and trying to flatter the houses with light and a bit of finesse while still staying true to reality.
These apples are the real apples owned by a woman who is selling her house. She has a standard poodle, and beautiful gardens. I couldn’t resist them when I saw them today, and had to take their picture. I can’t quite grasp nikon color/image handling when it comes to non-real estate photos…the only thing I shoot nikon is houses (though I still like canon color and look/feel better for houses or anything else).
I haven’t added much to this blog lately as I’ve been too busy but today is the day…tonight is the night! Also, I haven’t been shooting. My photos. At all. Right now it’s ok because I’m working on Tiger Stripe, so at least I’m working a huge amount on something…it’s strange to not be doing photography except as work-work. I miss it, but also don’t have photos I want to take (unless I carry a camera around, so maybe I should try that)…my show in October has been cancelled or postponed, and I’m not happy about it…I want to do Halloween photos but not if there is nowhere to show them…we will see what develops. Oh, and since this paragraph is just a mismash of randomness, I will add that I had the best time possibly ever in a hotel in Ocean Shores while my kid was going to prom out there…the perfect relaxing time where I also got days worth of HARD work done in one day…like magic! Might have been all the seafood I ate!
