The Voyage

I’ve been working on my project, Cartomancy, for the last year. Though it’s only partially completed, today I offer you the chance to preview some of the cards, and their fortunes!!

The project is based on the idea of fortune telling with cards, which is what “cartomancy” is. People have been telling fortunes with cards since the first playing cards were created, and tarot cards are just one form of this.These cards are not based on tarot, they are entirely made up, and manufactured for your fortune-telling pleasure.

I was supposed to have a show at the wonderful and amazing Hastings-Cone Gallery in August, a show I’ve had booked for two years, but Covid-19 has appeared and changed that plan, along with the rest of the plans we’d all made. So instead, this project is going to have this online version to help hold it together until I have have a real opening, with more work, and more fun, and fortune tellers and hot circus action, and hugging and laughter and food and everything good we all miss right now.
