Winter, years ago

I was reminded of this photo, because I’m taking a class, and we were talking about photos we like that don’t have a place in a particular portfolio, or project. This was my example.

This photo was taken in the cabin my partner lived in, deep in the woods, in winter. It was cold, and we were drinking tea by the wood stove while he played guitar.

He stacked cups and glasses on the windowsill, and one day, in spring a squirrel got into the cabin, and when we arrived home it ran across the cups and glasses, throwing most of them into the sink where they broke, before finding the loft, and then the open window.
